Meeting Format

Our meeting format includes an opening prayer and reading of the CR Principles, followed by announcements and a worship video. We then have a devotion, mini testimony, or character study before dividing into men's and women's open share groups for topic discussion. The small groups stop at 8:00pm followed by a connection, questions and comment time.

Guidelines for the Zoom Meeting

  • Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Limit your sharing to 3-5 minutes.

  • There is NO cross talk. Cross talk is when two individuals engage in conversation excluding all others. Each person is free to express his or her feelings without interruptions. We will be using the mute button during each persons share. We specifically ask that you don't walk around, eat or do other things during this time. Please remain seated with your screen facing you for the entire sharing portion of the meeting.

  • We are here to support one another, not “fix” one another. This means no sharing book or counselor referrals or advice for the purpose of "helping" the other participants in the group. If you want to share something that has impacted you in your own recovery as a shared victory that is great, just not for the purpose of giving unsolicited advice.

  • Anonymity and Confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only
    exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others.

  • Offensive language has no place in a Christ centered recovery group.

  • All participants must use headphones if they are not alone in the room. (we will ask you if we see someone)

  • All participants must be on camera and alone in the room. If you had your camera off during the first part, please turn it on now. We do require all cameras on during open share time. Also if you have any backgrounds on, please turn those off now as well. However, a blurred background is fine. Again, we ask that your screen be on, and facing you for the entire sharing portion of the meeting.

  • The meetings will not be recorded.

You will not be added to the small group if your camera is not on when it’s time to break out into small groups. If you turn off your camera in small groups you will be put back into the main session.
